Summer 2025 Affinity Classes are here! Check out this IN-PERSON class on Monday mornings. Classes will be held on campus at Stony Brook University beginning June 30th with 8 classes running through August 19th.
This 8-week interactive course explores the dynamic music and fashion scenes of the 1990s and 2000s. Students will learn about key artists, genres, cultural movements, and the iconic styles that shaped a generation. We will touch on a bit of everything from the rise of auto-tune to the rise of boy bands and Kangol hats. Through discussion, media analysis, and hands-on activities students will discover how music and fashion reflected-—and influenced-—youth identity, pop culture, and social issues.
