Summer 2025 Affinity Classes are here! Check out this IN-PERSON class on Wednesday mornings. Classes will be held on campus at Stony Brook University beginning July 2nd with 8 classes running through August 20th.

Step right up and explore the exciting world of the circus! From ancient Roman spectacles to the iconic American Big Top and today’s modern performances! In this fun and interactive class, students will study varying acts such as acrobats, clowns, and jugglers, learn about the circus’s rich history, and learn about the ethics of modern circus life. Through games, group discussions, and creative projects, we’ll see how the circus has evolved to celebrate all kinds of talents! This class encourages self-expression, builds confidence, and connects us through shared stories of performance and creativity. We’ll explore how the circus brings communities together and brainstorm our own posters inspired by what we learn as a final project. Whether you’re a history buff, a performer at heart, or just curious about life under the Big Top—this class is for you!
