Summer 2025 Affinity Classes are here! Check out this IN-PERSON class on Wednesday afternoons. Classes will be held on campus at LIU Post beginning July 16th with 6 classes running through August 20th.

This course will cover varying topics about our very own home! Long Island History will provide an overview of the unique background of the place we call home. We will cover dates back to the formation of Long Island all the way to the modern era. Some topics covered in class are The Culper Spy Ring & The American Revolution, The Birth of Suburban Long Island, The Long Island Railroad, Famous Long Islanders, Long Island Colleges & Universities, Long Island Beaches, Long Island Parks & State Parks, and more! We will also discuss local history about our individual hometowns and how they became the places we know so well today. We are also planning on hosting an off-campus meet up or two during this course!
