Fall 2024 Affinity Classes are here! Check out this VIRTUAL class on Monday afternoons. Sessions will be held via Google Meet beginning September 23rd with 8 sessions running through to November 25th.
Depending where you are in the world, Halloween is known as Allhalloween, All Hallows’ Eve, or All Saints’ Eve. In the past decade, Halloween traditions have spread worldwide and have become increasingly popular in Europe. Each country still remains unique and has its own way of celebrating life and death. In this class, students will prepare for the spookiest time of the year by discussing unique lore, household traditions, creatures and Halloween celebrations from all over the world. It will provide insight on how traditions vary depending on geological location. Students will be given the chance to create a presentation to show their peers how they have celebrated the Halloween season with their family in the past or the present! This class will be topped off with a field trip to the Smithtown Historical Society’s Spooky Woods and Trick of Treating event for those who choose to participate, included in tuition.
Join us virtually via Google Meet on Mondays, 12:15-1:30pm with Instructor Gabrielle Sharp. This class is ONLINE only. Check out the flyer with all the details here.
