Fall 2024 Affinity Classes are here! Check out this IN-PERSON class on Wednesday afternoons. Sessions will be held on the campus of Stony Brook University beginning September 18th with 8 sessions running through to November 6th.
Books are much more detailed than movies. Usually a film lasts approximately two hours, while books can be hundreds (maybe thousands) of pages of description. Before films were around, people had to rely on their imagination when diving into a good book. In this class, students will review the differences between book and movie versions of family classics such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Cat in the Hat, Peter and Wendy, Matilda and more! Students will engage in debates with their peers to determine which versions they like better, discuss character details and identify the similarities and differences between the books and movies!
Join us IN-PERSON on Wednesdays 12:15-1:30pm with Instructor Gabrielle Sharp. Check out the flyer with all the details here.
Please note – All students must complete the enrollment form to get confirmation.
